Binary Solo is now in MA

Hello Everyone,

.

Aaron here, me and the Mrs. recently moved to the Greater Boston Area (Revere, MA).  With the move I now have a new position at my day job and work in the New England office:

Yes that is the laundry room of the house we’re staying in.  I now work off-site, which means more free time for Binary Solo projects, so look out for even more new stuff coming your way.  Oh yeah and I totally have more time for the wife too :-) .  The first few weeks have been pretty busy.  Moving in, getting settled, and getting involved with the local game development scene.  Wow is the scene huge up here. It is really exciting and motivating.  I attended a Boston Post Mortem, Boston Game Loop, and Boston Indies meeting all in a 7 day period.

.

The Boston Post Mortem was cool, there was a design panel and tons of people (150-200).  I didn’t do much networking to be honest, me and the Mrs. met up with some high school friends at the bar.  I had been to one before, but its always awesome to see so many people in the field of game development getting together.

.

Over the weekend I hit up the Boston Gameloop organized by Scott Macmillan and Darius Kazemi.  It was a conference that you go to and the sessions are thought up and pitched in real time by the attendees.  It was great fun and I met a bunch of cool people.  we headed to the bar afterwards where me and a few others shared a “Tower” of Cambridge Amber.

I had never had one before so it was cool (not to say it would not be cool to have it a second time).

.

Finally this past Monday I finished the weeks game development events with a Boston Indies meeting.  This meeting is where a lot of the local independent game developers get together and eat pizza, drink beer, and discuss indie happenings.  There is also a presentation by someone at each one.  This was also a great time.  The night was finished off by Scott taking me to a club where Harmonix employees were playing music.  At one point someone was rocking the nes controller, that is just a taste.

.

All in all I think MA has recieved Binary Solo well and I look forward to what we can share with each other.  Stay tuned for new developments coming your way.
